To live at Höörs Gästgifwaregård is to pamper yourself a little extra. Our hotel rooms consist of very homely, completely newly built rooms in a unique feel and atmosphere.
We currently have 12 double rooms, 8 deluxe / family rooms and 2 suites, a Junior suite and our Royal suite which we are extra proud of. It contains the right attributes for a comfortable stay including private terrace facing the garden. Furthermore, there are 7 single rooms where you will feel at home. All rooms have their own toilet and shower and are equipped with TV and wifi.

EXCURSIONS & SIGHTS
BOSJÖKLOSTER - MONASTERY FROM THE MIDDLE AGES
One of Skåne's oldest castles, beautifully situated by Ringsjön is the whitewashed castle Bosjökloster. Large parts of the castle were reconstructed in the 17th century, which resulted in not much of the original monastery buildings remaining, but some of them are still intact, such as the church dating from the 11th century. With its well-preserved frescoes of the Virgin Apollonia, a martyr who, according to legend, died after all her teeth were pulled out under torture, the church is well worth a visit. At the end of the Middle Ages, Bosjökloster ceased to be a monastery and became privately owned and since 1962 it has been open to the public and a popular destination for family outings. See the exhibitions in the castle and the farm buildings, the nuns' medieval arches, the small herb garden herbs and medicinal plants, enjoy the gardens on terraces with perennial flower beds and thousands of roses, the romantic park with zoos, cable car and the millennial oak.
Relax while the children play on the playgrounds, borrow a rowing boat for a trip on the lake or play a game of boules in the park. Eat well in Bosjöklosters Café & Restaurant or bring your own picnic.
ELLINGE SLOTT & PURITY VODKA
Ellinge Castle is one of Skåne's oldest castles and has previously been owned by some of the most powerful Danish families.
The castle park is always open for visits, for example for a picnic and a walk in beautiful surroundings!

FROSTAVALLEN
Frostavallen is a village in Höör municipality with a walking area with beech forests and sparkling lakes with an open landscape. When spring comes, the ground is covered with white anemones which makes it look so much more beautiful. There are remnants of ancient volcanoes from the time of the dinosaurs with a dramatic landscape with heights and steep slopes, this can be found at Dagstorpssjön.

FULLTOFTA NATURCENTRUM
Fulltofta is Skåne's largest recreation area. There are 13 different hiking trails, both for shorter trips and trips over several days. The landscape is beautiful with large oaks, open meadows, meandering streams and small sparkling ponds. Here you can walk along the shores of Lake Ringsjön, fish and play boules and more. Take a walk among the treetops or visit the exhibition about how people lived in the past.

HISTORICAL WALKING AT BJÄRSJÖLAGÅRDS CASTLE
Experience Bjärsjölagård's varied background with known and unknown castle lords and castle ladies. During this historical journey from ancient times to the present narrated by the art historian Anna Gunnert, you get an insight into how the castle went from a defense facility, a royal summer residence to becoming nationally known on television in modern times. The walk begins in the courtyard and ends with coffee and cake at the castle.

Lime quarry AND Lime kilns in BJÄRSJÖLAGÅRD
Until the 1940s, successful extraction and trade in lime was carried out here. Today, the limestone quarry, which was once Skåne's largest, is filled with water and you can find corals, armrests, graptolites and sea scorpions, among other things. These exciting tracks in combination with the stately lime kilns Adam and Eva convey Skåne's industrial history up close. Welcome to Bjärsjölagård, a place where the present meets the past. Visit the lime quarry and the lime kilns when it suits you. Information signs are on site.
PRÄSTGÅRDSPARKEN IN ÖSTRA SALLERUP
Here you can see Charles XI's stones which are a tribute to the king after the wars between Denmark and Sweden. The park is on 5 hectares and one of the few preserved parks from the 17th century in Europe and it consists of separate shortcuts and canals. In the culture house there is a model of the park where you can see an exhibition about the priest and Sallerup's squadron. Here you can have a good coffee and maybe peek into their shop.

RÖNNE Å - OPEN Meadows AND JUNGLE-LIKE GREEN
The meandering Rönne river is a popular paddling destination that offers a combination of calm waters and livelier parts. The surroundings are beautiful and varied, from open agricultural landscapes to dense, lush greenery that is almost reminiscent of mangrove swamps and the Amazon rainforest. The trail is one-way in the sense that you can only paddle downstream, but with a bus or taxi you can easily get back to your starting point after the trip. If you rent your equipment at Kanotcentralen, they will arrange the return transport. All you have to do is follow the river, so it is impossible to get lost here, something that makes Rönne å a very safe and family-friendly place to paddle. The canoe trail is divided into different sections depending on whether you want the excursion to be for one or several days.

SKARHULT CASTLE - A RENAISSANCE CASTLE WITH A BEAUTIFUL PARK
In the western part of central Skåne you will find the beautiful Skarhult Castle, one of Sweden's best-preserved Renaissance castles from the 1560s. The castle is now privately owned and is surrounded by a beautiful English-style park, typically romantic with winding paths, small lakes and a ruin. The beautiful Skarhults church is well worth a visit and if you get hungry you can visit the castle's hunting cellar which is also a café.
The castle also has annual exhibitions with new and creative gender perspectives on history. You get the best experience by booking a personal guide that takes you on a journey from five different centuries from the perspective of five different women, whose lives, ambitions and destinies are narrated in a touching way.
SKÅNES ANIMAL PARK
Skånes Djurpark is home to more than a thousand different wild and domestic Nordic animals. There is a lot to see and do here and it is great to spend a whole day here.
Pack a picnic and look for moose when you have coffee, sneak on the foxes hiding in the bushes and pet the animals in the pet zoo, where visitors can join in and feed and cuddle with the animals. For the smaller children, a tractor ride in the Shaun Land Sheep is a must, and for the older children, the treetop hike is recommended.
Nowadays you can also spend the night in the middle of the wilderness.
