LUND AREA
LUND - SWEDEN'S OLDEST CITY
Lund is Sweden's oldest city with a very impressive cultural heritage.
We recommend a visit to Lund Cathedral, widely recognized as one of Sweden's most famous attractions.
The art gallery Lunds Konsthall is a must if you enjoy art in an inspirational setting, and the open air museum Kulturen with around 30 historical buildings which are open to the public is also well worth a visit.
The area around the cathedral is the most beautiful and charming in the city, with its winding alleyways and low built, colorful houses.
You can also visit one of the many cafés in the park while enjoying the views of this century-old area.
Another important attraction is the unique Skisserna art museum, focusing on the artistic, creative process. You will find the world's largest collection of sketches and models of both Swedish and international artwork right here.
Another area not to miss is Romeleåsen, also called the Archipelago, where you can experience nature, forest, rare plants and animals as well as castles and museums.
